Leather, Written in Latin. Large folio that measures 15" by 9 1/2" by 2 1/2". Leather cover is detached from front cover board. Back leather is coming off. Leather is chipped, scuffed and rubbed. Splits on outer gutters of spine. Corners and edges worn. Corners bumped. Endpapers detached, have tanning on edges, insect holes and foxing. Stains on a few pages but overall clean. Some foxing. Pages yellowed but not brittle. Frontis of St. Cyprian is missing a large piece of the outside border of the engraving. Full page engraving of St. Cyprian's beheading as frontis titled, "Thascium Cyprianum gladio animadverti placet". St. Cyprian whose stand against Rome and special theory of the episcopate gave him a unique appeal to Anglicans. The folio is comprised of all the saint's writings. Notes in the margins.
