Presentation on inside front board that has been partially marked out with a ball point pen. A little messy with scribbling out the name. Inside pages clean and binding is tight. Noted Texas historian and author Frantz provides a tough, critical look at the evolving University of Texas, its dreams and its failures. An insightful, personal history from a decades-long Professor of History at the University of Texas, who arrived on campus in 1935 and heard the oldtimers" recollections back to the institution"s beginning in 1883. Frantz also directed the university"s LBJ Oral History Project and was a consultant in history to the Johnson White House. He died in 1993 at the age of 76.
