Representative Old Cowboy Ed Wright Signed Pardners, Wright, Ed
1 Wright, Ed Representative Old Cowboy Ed Wright Signed Pardners
Self Pubished 1954-01-01 Limited Hard Cover Good No Jacket Hard Cover 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall Don Whiston Signed by Author
Signed by Author This book has no title page or copyright information. The book starts with a section of eight glossy photos including a "Daily Program Wyoming State Fair Wednesday, September 30, 1914". The first page on the photos is inscribed by the author. Front board has a C M Russell drawing from 1904 pasted down. Back inside board is a picture and pastedown of the author. Cover is original wraps of printed cowboy theme. Inside book is staped together and has been re-enforce on the hinges. Old Cowboy, Ed Wright address stamp is stamped on the last page of the book. There are no endpapers. This book, although the cover is titled as stated, is actually Wright"s other book, PARTNERS (published by Vantage Press in 1958). The pictorial drawing on the cover is the same as that on THE REPRESENTATIVE OLD COWBOY ED WRIGHT (published in 1954 in an edition ltd to 500), but the text is, with some variations in the collation of the preliminary pages, the same as PARTNERS. The length is 210pp. (as in PARTNERS). Cover has some stains, paper cracked on spine and edges worn. Inside pages clean and binding is tight. From the back of the inside board, " Old This copy is illustrated with eight pages of photos not found in either THE REPRESENTATIVE or PARTNERS. The drawings by Don Whiston, are, however, as printed in PARTNERS. I"m sure there must be a story behind this somewhat tangled thicket of bibliographical & publishing data. Cowboy Ed Wright, who tells you, in Pardners, of his cowpunching career, has managed to crowd a good many other adventures into his life, too. He holds an All Round World's Championship belt and buckle presented at a Cheyenne Frontier Days celebration---he was for 16 years bareback bronc riding champion. He was also a rodeo clown."
